On a calm Saturday morning, we—the Kalpaka Foundation team—gathered at Turahalli Tree Park to begin our first green drive of the monsoon season. Our goal was simple but powerful: to plant 2,000 seed balls and give back to nature.
With the sky cloudy and cool, more than 30 of us came together with seed balls in hand, ready to plant life and hope into the earth. Each seed ball held the promise of a tree. And each step we took was filled with care, love, and purpose.
We were honored to be welcomed by Mr. Manjunath, the forest officer at Turahalli. He greeted us with a warm smile and kind words.
But more than that, he joined us in the planting. He showed us a simple but smart tip—placing two seed balls together helps them grow better.
His support gave us confidence and made the day even more special.
As we began planting, many people in the park paused to watch. Some asked what we were doing, and we happily shared our mission.
One moment touched our hearts deeply—a young girl, curious and quiet at first, listened to us speak about trees and the environment.
Then she smiled, picked up a seed ball, and joined us. That one small action reminded us why we do this work. Change starts with one person, one seed.
We spread out across the park. Some of us gently placed seed balls into the soil. Others tossed them into deeper forest areas where nature would take over. We helped each other, shared tools, laughed, and talked about why this matters.
By 12 noon, we had planted and dispersed all 2,000 seed balls. We felt tired, but happy. We stood together—with muddy hands and full hearts—for a group photo with the forest team. That photo wasn’t just about faces. It was about unity, effort, and hope.
This wasn’t only about numbers. Yes, we planted 2,000 seed balls. But we also planted ideas, care, and awareness. We connected with nature, with each other, and with strangers who became part of the mission.
This event was just the beginning of our 2025 monsoon campaign. There will be more green drives, more forests to support, and more hearts to inspire. But this day, at Turahalli Tree Park, will always be special to us.
We want to thank every volunteer who showed up. Every person who paused, asked, and joined. And the forest department, especially Mr. Manjunath and his team, for standing with us. Your support turned this idea into a real and meaningful day.
We believe small actions create big change. If this story touched your heart, you can be part of the next green drive—by joining us or supporting us.
Together, we can plant thousands more.
