On July 22, we stepped back into the forest edges of Agara Lake for Phase 2 of our Monsoon Seed Ball Project.
The land was soft from the morning rain. With every handful of earth, we planted hope wrapped in mud—this time, using only tamarind seeds, chosen for their resilience and ability to thrive in this soil.
Alongside the Karnataka Forest Department and our dedicated volunteers, we planted and scattered 3,000 seed balls, bringing our total for the monsoon to 5,000.
The forest doesn’t ask for much—just time, space, and quiet support. But parts of it have been worn thin by years of pressure.
In such fragile zones, digging and transplanting saplings can do more harm than good. So we turned to a method rooted in simplicity: seed balls made of just tamarind seeds and mud.
No compost. No chemicals. Just what the forest already knows.
Tamarind trees are hardy, native, and grow deep roots. They offer shade, improve soil quality, and support local biodiversity. Most importantly, they survive.
We owe heartfelt thanks to those who made this possible:
You didn’t just join us.
You became part of the landscape.
This isn’t a one-time effort. It’s a living cycle.
With 5,000 more seed balls already prepared, we’re planning upcoming phases in collaboration with forest authorities. Each step forward will be guided by ecology—not urgency.
We’re also welcoming:
Volunteer at our next seed ball event
Donate to support seed ball preparation and transport
Partner with us through CSR or school programs

We are Kalpaka Foundation. We believe change begins in silence—in the soil, in your hands, in the belief that small acts matter.
Every tamarind seed we planted wasn’t just a tree in waiting. It was a quiet stand for life, shade, rain, and renewal.
Thank you to everyone who helped this phase take root. Let’s keep growing—gently, patiently, together.
And we’ll keep reaching out—educating, inspiring, and reminding everyone that kindness doesn’t need much—it just needs a willing heart.
