If you see the knowledge dynamics amongst the poor and in the rural area, they look up to Anganwadi and ASHA workers as reliable sources of information and help and a great practical example in mannerisms. These workers observe and analyze at the grassroots level while showing belongingness to the surroundings.
Therefore, we must shield them from the Pandemic and, through their implementation of safety protocols, inspire the poor and the rural people.
Kalpaka has planned to launch the “Shielding our Ground-workers’ event to distribute essential kits containing face masks, face shields, hand gloves, and hand sanitizers to the ASHA workers and the Anganwadi workers starting from Kyathanahalli, Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya District on 5th June, 2 PM onwards.
This is because they are at the frontline and need to be safe while serving the poor and rural communities, setting an example, and becoming their voice to the higher authorities during COVID-19. Also, Kalpaka recognizes their potential to gather information on people/families in need of food support because of COVID-induced job loss or lockdown restrictions. Once the workers relay those needs to Kalpaka, we aim to provide 7-10 days’ worth of ration to the needy under our food donation project.
This will be Kalpaka’s first event on the path to secure basic necessities for the needy and fulfill its mission of making the world a better place, one social cause at a time.
More projects will be based on helping the poor and the needy-stay tuned to our website for more details or drop us an inquiry at [email protected].
